Printing your Rack Config

CISC AS/400

1. Go to an AS/400 Command Line.
2. Type WRKHDWPRD
3. Press <ENTER>.
4. Choose Option 1 (Work with Rack Configuration).
5. Press Command 17 (Print Rack Configuration).
6. Press F3 to exit.

RISC AS/400 or Advanced Series 36 Model 436

1. Go to an AS/400 Command Line.
2. Type STRSST
3. Press <ENTER>.
4. Choose Option 1 (Start a Service Tool).
5. Choose Option 7 (Hardware Service Manager).
6. Press Command 6 or F6 (Print Configuration).
7. Press F3 to exit.

Advanced Series 36 Model 236

Display the IPL type and mode by doing the following:

1. On the System Control Panel, press the Up or Down select push button until "01" appears in the Function / Data display.
2. Press <ENTER>.
3. If "B M" appeared in the Function / Data display, skip this step. 
   • Press the Up or Down select push button until "02" appears in the Function / Data display. 
   • Press the <ENTER> push button.  
   • Press the Up or Down select push button until "B M" appears in the Function / Data display.  
   • Press the <ENTER> push button.  
   • Press the Up or Down select push button until "01" appears in the Function / Data display.  
   • Press the <ENTER> push button.  
   • The "B M" should now appear in the Function / Data display.
4. Press <ENTER>.
5. Press "System Request" on the system console.
6. Type DST (in uppercase) on the prompt line.
7. Press <ENTER>.
8. When the Dedicated Service Tool sign-on screen appears, type the DST user ID and password for your system.  (The default value for both the user ID and password is 22222222).
9. Press <ENTER>.
10. When The "Dedicated Service Tools" screen is displayed, choose Option 7 (Start a Service Tool).
11. Press <ENTER>.
12. Choose Option 4 (Hardware Service Manager).
13. Press <ENTER>.
14. Press Command 6 or F6 (Print Rack Configuration).

To Print All Licensed Programs:

1. At command line, key in:

DSPSFWRSC *PRINT 

2. Press [ENTER].

To Print Disk Status Report:

1. At command line, key in:

WRKDSKSTS *PRINT 

2. Press [ENTER].

To Print System Status Report:

1. At command line, key in:

WRKSYSSTS *PRINT 

2. Press [ENTER].

To Start Performance Evaluation Collection:

("Performance Evaluation Request" Mandated)

1. At command line, key in:

   STRPFRMON 

2. Press [F4]
3. Key in:

Library: ZSIRIUS 

Text description: Text of your choice

Time interval (in minutes): 5

Hour: 10

1. Press [ENTER]

To Display Current PTF Level:

1. At command line, key in:

   GO PTF [ENTER]

2. Select option:

   Display a Program Temporary fix

3. Key in:

   5728SS1 (if using V2Rx), or

   5738SS1 (if using V3R1 or V3R2), or

   5716SS1 (if using V3R6)

4. Type [ENTER].
5. The first item listed will display the latest PTF level.
